Navigation plugin does not recognise new items

If the application loads with one item and then populates more items via the cyclic pull of items, the subsequent ones do not apply to the list the navigation plugin maintains, or something of the sort.
Visible clue is that it goes to that first one and then goes out as if there were no more, even if you have like 5 listed.
