Twitter client is showing as orignal for API retweets

Reported by Matt Curry | March 31st, 2010 @ 04:22 AM | in 1.03

Shows up twice in my DB. Once from my account stream and once from #li3 stream. The account stream has the wrong client (uses the client from the original tweet). The li3 stream has the right client (20couch - the client used to retweet).

I think both clients are provided in the account stream so it's just a matter of picking the right one to display.

Alright...here's the deal. My note above about the two streams is reversed. Account has the right client, search stream wrong.

The Twitter search API doesn't support the new native retweets. Instead it replaces your tweet w/ the original with "RT @Username: " on the front. It doesn't include the reference to the original tweet. It also replaces your client w/ that of the original tweet. Lame.
