Don't open links in a new tab by default
Reported by Anh Quang Do | March 17th, 2010 @ 12:50 AM | in 1.02
I'm used to pressing Cmd + left click on a link to open it in a new tab. 20couch's default behaviour somehow messed up with this; I have to right click + choose Open in a New Tab to circumvent this. Is this possible to turn off this feature and have the user decide whether to open links in new tabs or not?

I'm catching the link click and then using javascript to open the new window. I like having it open in a new window and I'm trying to avoid adding options right now. Especially for stuff that could one day be handled by plugins. I'll switch the links to use target="_blank", which should maintain the opening in a new window and not break cmd+click.

When I read this issue I went: "Whoaaa?! What's he talking about?"
Then I realized that I no longer use CTRL+Click to open tabs in the background, I've been using middle click for a long time.Sooooo, I tested it and QAD is right about one thing, the CTRL+Click is broken under FF but Middle click goes over that.
So two choices here:
1) We nag Matt 'cuz it's broken for CTRL+Click
2) We get used to middle click. And don't talk about not having a 3 button mouse 'cuz I know you guys love your scroll-wheel :P

Unfortunately I'm using the Magic Mouse, so there's no scroll-wheel for me :D
Anyway I think this behavior should be removed. Those don't know about middle-clicking or Ctrl+Click or open links in a new tab probably don't need it at all :P
