Follow/Ninja Follow - duplicate items in list

Duplicate items display in the lists and search if a user is followed like normal and ninja followed.
I currently follow @mcurry in my twitter account. I decided to test the ninja follow and added @mcurry there as well. After that I now see duplicates of every @mcurry tweet throughout my account. I realize most people won't do this because it is redundant, but thought it might deserve a ticket (feel free to delete if you don't care).
Possible solutions might be:
a) don't allow ninja following of already followed people, and remove ninja follows if a person becomes "followed"
b) hide the duplicates
